Dr. Matthew Kwong grew up in Mississauga and graduated in 2001 from the University of Toronto. In 2005, he completed his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometrist in Boston. He is licensed in the use of topical and oral pharmaceutical agents for the treatment of eye disease as well as orthokeratology. Dr. Kwong approaches each of his patients as a whole person, taking into account a patient's complete lifestyle and health.

Dr. Kwong is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrist and has been invited numerous times to speak to the public regarding eye health. He also speaks to health care providers in efforts of increasing their competence to patient care and the eye. As a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopic Control. He can also be found at Mon Sheong Scarbrough Long Term Care visting the seniors that are unable to leave the facilities.

Dr. Kwong has a special interest in nutrition and in the recent epidemic of myopic progression and its control. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dr. Ernest Tang completed both his undergraduate studies and Doctor of Optometry in 2010 at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Tang has worked with Dr. Kwong since 2010 and also in a refractive surgical clinic to provide LASIK/PRK/RLE/Corneal cross-linking consultations and post-operative care. He is also certified in prescribing and the use of diagnostic, topical and oral therapeutic agents and a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrist. He is fluent in English and Cantonese and also enjoys travelling and skiing.

Dr. Lauren Hsia grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, and received her Bachelor of Health Sciences Honours degree at McMaster University and her Doctor of Optometry degree, with Dean’s Honours, at the University of Waterloo. During her professional training, she interned at the Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Kentucky where she gained significant experience in diagnosing, managing, and treating ocular diseases. Dr. Hsia is qualified in the use of topical and oral therapeutics for the treatment of ocular diseases and is certified to prescribe these treatments in Ontario and British Columbia. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists.

Dr. Hsia is passionate about providing her patients with the highest quality of care and a better understanding of their eye health and vision. She can provide optometric services in English and Mandarin and is gladly accepting new patients. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, tennis,playing music, volunteering in the community, and traveling.

She then moved to Boston, Massachusetts where she attended The New England College of Optometry and graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honours Society in 2008.

Dr. Ellaurie’s training included performing eye exams at Dimock Community Health Center in Boston where she saw a variety of different patients. Next, she focused on the pediatrics, low vision, and contact lens specialties at New England Eye Institute in Boston. Finally, she had the privilege of spending six months at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (the #1 eye hospital in the US) in Miami, Florida in a rigorous program which gave her extensive experience in ocular disease and allowed her to work directly with many ophthalmologists and optometrists who are at the top of their field.

Dr. Ellaurie is experienced in examining patients of all ages in addition to patients with mental and physical disabilities. She loves being an eye doctor and has successfully completed all parts of both the Canadian and American Optometry Board Exams.
